Advent - Week 2 {FAITH} - Sunday 12/6/2015

In preparation for the 2nd week of Advent, where we are anticipating the birth of Christ, with the lighting of the candle of FAITH, which reminds us of the journey Mary and Joseph made the Bethlehem, here are the resources I am using.

This week I am going to have our littles color the Journey to Bethlehem sheet below, and paste it to their Bible Journals. We will discuss faith and what it means.

Since the Holy Day of Obligation for the Immaculate Conception is this week, on Tue., Dec. 8th, I am also going to have our Littles color a Saint Mary coloring sheet and cut/paste this into their Bible Journal as well.

Some background information that I learned: 

Question:What is the Immaculate Conception? If one does the math, Jesus surely wasn't conceived just 3 weeks before his birth...

Answer: The Immaculate Conception refers to the condition that the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from Original Sin from the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. We celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 8; nine months before is December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
